A Quick Goodbye to 2013

I am writing this post during waiting for our New Year's Eve dinner. Well, can you believe that 2014 is in few hours to go? Let's take a little time to write a quick review about 2013 and some goals to achieve in 2014!

I set a theme for 2013 and surprisingly, there were still so much things that I haven't achieved yet. Talking about experience 2013, yes I experienced lots of things. Like writing final thesis, sharing about my favorite topic in my church community, graduated, moved into a new place, meet some new people and so much more. But I feel like I miss some other things this year and I am not really sure what was it. Anywaaaay, I still feel so grateful I can make it till the end of the year, not by myself just because of God's will. I also promise myself once again to make 2014 even more challenging. Like what I said before, I am still twenty two and I will let myself to taste a life that Lord has given to me.
So some goals for 2014: I found that it might be …

So Far being Twenty Two

Being twenty two means, you just don’t even care about what people expects about your life, about what are you going to do or what you have to do for the rest of your life. Life is all about your choices. Don’t live under people expectations unless you want to “mati muda”. Just don’t.
Being twenty two means, let your heart always be ready for receiving something that you never imagine to happen. Because you know what, life is full of surprises. And like Forrest Gump’s chocolate box, “you never know what you are going to get.” Your life is your chocolate box, taste it, feel it.
Being twenty two means, you realize that there is always somebody besides you, to pursue a dream together. Because “two are betterthan one”.
Being twenty two means, maybe you are considered too young to make a decision about a thing that lasts for a lifetime. But you just want to prove it that you are mature enough to take the decision. Because again, it’s your life.
Being twenty two means, you can easily enjoy li…

Press Pause

Sometimes, you need to press pause and look around your life. Sometimes, we forget how to enjoy the taste of this life. We are busy for doing nothing, we are trapped in a place while we thought the place probably the safe one. The truth is, all of us want to get out. Get out to see this life. Get out to feel our true heart. Get out to find our own happiness. After that, all of us are ready to press the play button again.
Happy weekend (:

Ask What For Lunch

Hello everyone. I miss writing some posts right here but this time I just dropped some pictures, telling you that I am so happy living here and I find myself is getting better day by day. Problem comes, problem solved, good opportunity is coming too. Last month I has been taught an important lesson about being brave. I realized for most of the time I rejected for doing something real scares me. I don't even realize maybe one of my dream is knocking outside my door. Some of you keep telling me to dream bigger, my heart tells me so. But sometimes I lost courages for doing it too, just because I am afraid I fail, I am afraid I take a wrong path. Then, I was reminded by this words:
"To stand up to any challenge, spend time on your knees."
Yes, spend your time more for praying to God. Pray for more courages, pray for asking what you have to do and pray for having a brave heart to challenge yourself (:
2013 has been so nice, yet went too fast, don't you think? I still r…

Why I Still Writing A Diary | 4 Benefits Writing Diary

I am twenty two and I have a diary (with a little padlock) to write almost every night before bed. The diary I am using right now is a gift from my ex-roomie, and she wrote a letter to me said, "I know you love to write diary every night, so here a new one to write after you return home." Sweet I know, and the diary is sweetest than ever. Probably the most sweetest diary I had ever.
The question is: Why I still writing a diary?
Of course I have so many answers I would give to you. Maybe right after you read this, you can start writing your own diary too (:
The benefit of writing diary:
1. You are gonna have a healthy mind and soul. I get used to write in blog to share my thoughts, my ideas, my stories, etc. Blogging means I share almost my personal things digitally. I realized I still need a secured place to place my emotion, which I cannot put them in my digital diary.
I write EVERYTHING in my own diary. My diary is my best friend. Okay, not like I am a weirdo or a fr…

Come Back (New) Home - My very first short story goes public!

Red eyes, swollen face.. but the thing we know we are gonna meet again!
It has been four months I left Guangzhou and graduated. I wrote a little story, dedicated to keep a good time when I was ready to fly back home and some good friends came together. I hate and always hate to say goodbye, but as I've learned before, saying goodbye means we all know, someday, we are gonna meet each other again. So yeah, still lots of tears (lol) but lots of smile too.
This is gonna be my first time sharing my personal non fiction story online. I wrote this based on my true story, people: how I cried like a baby in the plane after said goodbye to my beloved place, which I called second home for four years *I need a drama that time hahaha*; how I left my passport in the toilet (yes, I left it and found it only for few seconds! Thanks to a beautiful yound lady who found it and gave it back to me with a sarcastic smile); and at last how I finally arrived in a new place where I spell it as h-o-m-e. …

Amazing Twenty Two

Excuse for my little bit-tired-face. Trust me, I am so happy about turning a new age!
When I was hitting the number 20 two years ago, I made a promise to make 25th October more special, at least for myself. Special means less care about how many gifts that I would recieve (yes I love gifts, especially surprises, but that's not the point on my day), but more have time for monologue and talk with God, how I am so thankful that He makes me alive and be able to walk in a new path every single year.
Everyone deserves to feel special on a birthday, so pardon me because this post is dedicated just for myself *booo*
I never imagine about how my "twenty-something" looks like, the only thing I knew when I was a teenager, the twenty me could be a successful career woman, because that is I was always dreaming about. But I found my twenty years were beyond of my imagination. I graduated from college on time, I've known so many amazing people, I do blog, my family start a busine…

Pandawa Beach | You are gonna fall in love

One day, if you come to Bali, you have to visit this place. Because guess what, you are gonna fall in love just like me.
This wonderful and beautiful beach called Pandawa Beach. I have been here two times in a week. Last Monday I came here with friends Andre. I heard from Mom and Dad before about Pandawa Beach, they said it's really beautiful and different from the other beaches in Bali. I was so curious and then the day after my friend took us here. Gosh, this beach looks hot! People come this place usually for relaxing, you can rent a couple seat, you can read a book, sunbathing (like most of people do!) or maybe sleeping. If you want to just take some beautiful pictures, it's okay too. And oh, you can also rent a canoe with your friends, bf/gf, or anybody, just for two person in one canoe. Romantic, isn't it? I told my boyfriend when he visits me back, we should do this :P Sadly, I don't have so much time to spend, so I was just enjoying the lucent sands and water…

Books Wanted

(from top left-bottom right) "Lean In: Women, Work and The Will to Lead.", by Sheryl Sandberg"This is What Happy Looks Like", by Jennifer Smith"The Happiness Project", by Gretchen Rubin"Adulting: How to Become A Grown-Up in 468 Easy(ish) Steps.", by Kelly Williams Brown I am planning to buy some books for welcoming my "twenty two", wohoo! Well honestly I want MORE than these, but I cannot remember the title of the books. I should make a list later whenever I am stumbling in a bookstore. I just realized when I'm writing this, the books I posted above are actually related each other. Two books are about "growing up" things and the others are about happiness (fun facts). Anyway, "This is What Happy Looks Like" is a novel.

So, how was your half-Sunday? Mine was pretty good. Sunday is a perfect day for me to press pause after work-days. I can watch movies, I can do a little exercises and the most of it, I can eat eve…

What's in my brain before I sleep.

1. Remember when we was a kid, we like to read our storybook while lying on the bed, then our Mom would start to yell and told us it was really bad habit because that will damage our eyes. But now, it seems sooo casual to do in front of our Mom. Like what I did last night. She didn't complain at all..

2. I was reading "Don't Sweat The Small Stuffs" last night before bed, and I was thinking teenager phase is the most short phase in our life and being adult is always be a scary thing. Being teenanger is really a wonderful thing and how lucky we are, have been living as a teenager once in our life!
3. We had an appointment yesterday in a local hotel. Either me or Mom don't know where the hotel's location. We both suck on reading maps (even sophisticated map like Google has *duh*) so yeah.. we went around and around and around again in the city. But that was good, because now we are getting know more about Denpasar, since we live here, we have to more explore, …

What I Learned From The Five-Year Engagement

Have you watched The Five-Year Engagement

(1) I know I have to grow up and I am going turn to twenty two very soon *spoiler spoiler lol*. But I cannot give for this cute Kitty. Sometimes, my boyfriend forgot that I am a grown-up little girl so he bought me this when he came back from China. Of course I cannot be excited anymore when I got this! Anyway, this Kitty's style reminds me to Kak Diana Rikasari, because of her big hearted-glasses :P
(2) This is a sweet gift from my friend, Etin when I turned 21 last year. I never read classic novel like this but since she knows (and have read) lots of them, she bought this for me and I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH. I don't want to spoil much about the story and maybe some of you have read this book. Two weeks ago I watched the movie version on FOX Movies. The film was great also!
 (3) This is last week picture, when we went to Hard Rock Cafe.  Our friends from Hong Kong visited us here in Bali for short escape. They wanted to go to Hard Rock and since me and Mom never bumped into…

Langkah Cinta

Kamu cinta aku seluruhnya. Utuh.

Blogging Matters: Why Do I Blog?

I was thinking about blogging matters, lately. The first time I got into blog when I was in high school. They said now you can write your online diary through blog. Remember MySpace? Livejournal? I bumped myself into these platforms before I stick to Blogspot until now. Reading others diary is really fun, it's all about your life story, and so much better than I read a novel. Becase it's a true story (unless people fake it, I don't know). And of course, write your personal life story is really fun too. I still remember the first post I shared in my first blog. I wrote about my native English teacher in school. He is British and how he spelled my name was so silly. I was surprise one day after I posted that, my classmate said to me, "Hey, Mr. xxx was in your blog!". Somebody read my blog. Interesting. Then, from that time.. I could not stop to write.
In 2008, still in high school, I found a blog that caught my eye (and apparently my heart too). It is a blog by Al…

What I Have Learned

Last week has been a rough week for me. My mom was flying back to Jakarta for 11 days, my brother was completely busy with students day at campus, day to night. And me.. spending my days work at home, totally alone. It hasn't that bad between first to third days, until I got PMS- which is I called the most terrible problem for every woman and I still can't handle it, then problems came.
I cannot tell you what the problems are, but seriously they made me crazy for whole week! I could not find anybody to share. You know the feeling when you have a problem, everybody (even your closest friend) seems won't understand you. I just could not find a right person to share. Until Mom came home, (okay.. I don't know how to say it right) I let myself to mencurahkan semua isi hati. And then surprisingly, God have an answer to for me. Suddenly, I feel good. Really good. God said this,

Yes! Can you believe that? I met this nine gorgeous girls in my dream, last night, practically.

Okay.. please don't say I sound pathetic. The truth is, I didn't attend the concert, which is RIGHT NOW, in Jakarta. My best friend is on the place and just report some pictures to me and guess what..

I am so thrilling!
Watch Girls' Generation concert is one my dream this year. I have been dreaming of this for two years and still not have a chance. I remember once I prayed, the girls are gonna held a solo concert in Indonesia, and then they made it. I knew about the concert two month ago, at the end of July. It's kinda late, too late maybe. When I searched for the tickets, the best spot are SOLD OUT, just in few days! I don't wanna spend my money for the lowest price, because I had a promise to myself if someday I could join a concert, it's gonna be my first official SNSD concert, and I want to make it perfect. But, the problem is.. that time I just started my job, …

(1) My packages from China finally arrived yesterday! I have opened the first box yesterday and this morning I was busy with this one. It contains LOTS of books and it was SOO heavy. I was keep sweating when I unloaded this thing haha but I am so excited because I ended up sitting and looking for some memories when I was in college (LOL). But anyway, welcome home my stuffs!

(2) This little adorable one was founded in the box! I almost forgot about this slippers, it was given my dear ex-roomie (her name is Tika) and she said I have to wear this in new home. I am so really happy wearing this all day in the house. So yeah, hello kitty kitty! Welcome home, you!

 (3) I will give this picture a caption like "home without Mom". Mom went to Jakarta for several days and I cooked everyday meals something like this: frozen foods (chicken sticks!) and 'surprisingly-tastes-good' veggies sautes! Come home soon, Mom (':

(4) I got this packet today and it was from Tika. So appare…

Morning Routine | How I Usually Start My Day

Routine sounds kinda boring, because routine belongs to 'normal' people. To be honest, I am a morning person. Now, why morning routine sounds like kinda important?

We should know that routine trains us to be more discipline and built our personality- like what Jeff Goins said, "because routines are all about you and your personality". So let's say, we can see people personality by look how they begin their morning day.

Another thing, morning day also helps us to be more focus of our task and get along through the day, and also helps you to have a good mood to start the day.

Morning routine is not an obligation, it's only something you may try to begin. If you know something brings you a positive thing, it's okay to try, right? Like my Mom, I never saw her eats oatmeal in the morning before, but now since she said it's good to her body, she just gives it a try.

Everyone's morning routine is different. You can make it by your o…

My Writing Essentials

Hello people!
I rarely talk about my writing habits or anything my writing life related. So today I am gonna share with you my three essentials when I do my writing job and these all based on my very personal experiences. Let's take a look!
1. Every writer loves coffee. I don't ever doubt that. Few days ago, I finally realized is not coffee that I really need while writing, I am back to the basic mineral water instead. We all know the only healthy drink is mineral water, there's no other. Amazing fact about mineral water: it re-boost your energy and also helps you to stay hydrated. Because activity like writing, it seems like you only sit for few hours and keep your fingers busy. The truth is sitting for a one hour will make you feel tired as same as while you are standing do nothing for one hour. However, when I am writing I easily feel thirsty so I keep a glass of water by my side and refill it whenever it's empty. Coffee maybe makes me awake, sometimes. But it woul…
