Wanderrgirl Blog Challenge #3: The Bravest Person I Know

One day, Alanda Kariza once asked when she attended Global Changemaker event with a question:

What are you gonna do if you stuck in an elevator with
(put somebody name here)?

In case you're wondering, Tiffany Hwang is a member of Girls Generation.

Instead of we're both screaming loud in the elevator, I am going to interview her. Before I start doing it, let me introduce you, the queen of eye-smile, the bravest person that I know, Tiffany Hwang!

There are so many idols out there but why Tiffany? What so special from her? Is she just the same with the others? Well, after you read this, you might fall in love with her.

Tiffany was born in San Fransisco, California and grew up in Diamond Bar. She lost her Mom at a young age. She probably had fragile heart that time, but she also owns a brave heart to leave everything behind at home, flew miles away for the sake of pursuing her dream as a singer. After walked through the rough part; tears, pain, perspirations, struggles. But now, look at her, who doesn't know Tiffany, the one who brighter than gems?

The legendary eye-smile, Tiffany owns it. Her smile melts everyone's heart. Her smile cheers you up. Her smile can brighten your day. She gives a simple lesson to do: Smile, because it is the beginning to make you feel happy and make others happy, too.

"When I had an eye contact with her randomly, she knows that sweet eye smile. Every time I see the smile, I feel happier." -Inkigayo Scriptwriter

Everyone is talking about her faith in Christianity. They said Tiffany is religious person, I said Tiffany is just doing the things because she knows she was called to be a witness for Heavenly Father wherever she has been placed. She wants to be a good role model for her fans all over the world. She cares everyone who takes part of her journey. Members, staffs, fans and of course.. her family.

"She is seriously one of the most selfless and truly loving friends I've ever known. She cares so much every one of you, and she really does pray for all her fans, I think sometimes more than herself. She is a walking angel."

Okay. Let's start the quick interview with Tiffany. Exclusive from the elevator!
Tiffany is pink one.

1) I am wondering about what makes you fight for your dream as a singer. I mean, how do you do that?

T: As much as you want to do it and as much as you put into it, that's exactly how much it comes back to you.  Everything will be good as long as you do your best. Because if you do, there will be no regrets."

2) What is the best time for you as a performer?

T: When people takes me seriously as an artist and it is SO NICE! Because yoyu know, all this time I've been fighting for people who takes me seriously as an artist. And now I am just like, okay, I've been trying to be perfect on everything I do.

3) You have a strong character and I can see that. How do you face every struggle and problems in your life?

T:  Everybody goes through a tough time and I thought I wasn't ready or I want it to stop. But I am thanking God for each and every obstacle because He is only trying to bring the best of us. So I'll pray that He will give you guys too, the wisdom and the strength to get through whatever is going on.

4) What are you going to do in the next 10 years?

T: I want to continue singing. As I get older, I want to be a singer that has an endless passion for music and stage performance.

5) How about your personal thought of Girls Generation members?

T: I know that it wasn't by accident that there are nine of us and it was destiny and meant to be. There are many things happened for us to get here, but we were able to finally get here with trust and love for each other. When we won first place, we cried a lot. The moment when they announced we won first place, I had a brief flasback of our nine months preparation period. I felt so grateful for those who helped us. We wanted to tell them how thankful we were. I hope our music can really be a good source to your life because music has always been mine.

 When the nine are completed.

6) Last words, Tiffany. What do you want to say to me and also your fans out there?

It's as much passion as you have, just follow it, and you can be where you want to be. I mean, I am.

Bravest Things Tiffany Has-Ever-Done:

1. There was a time her leg injured, she couldn't dance with the girls but she was still singing at the side of the stage. (watch here)

2. She lost her Mom at a very young age. Every time the girls perform "Dear Mom" song, every time she gives the bravest smile during her part. Just because she knows her Mom is watching of her from up there and how much she prouds of her. (watch here)

3. She challenged herself to participate in a musical performance, "Fame". She got the main role and she played the role, passionately. Although that was the first time for her, she has given the best of her for the musical stage. (watch here)

4. She afraid of babies, but she got the title “best mom” on a variety show “Hello Baby” when Girls Generation take care of baby Kyung San. At the first episode, whenever she tried to get close of Kyung San, he cried and she doesn’t like that, so she would stay away from him. But she still cared and worried about him at the other side. “Tiffany is the one who thinks about the baby the most, even if it’s only on the inside,” said Sunny. (watch here)

5. Tiffany left her home and follow her passion and let it takes her to wherever she wants. She believes in it and shows it to the world. That’s the most bravest thing she has ever done.

Someday when I get the chance to meet you, I just want to say thank you.
Thank you for being such a good example for us to live in passion
Thank you for being such a brave to show the best of you.

Why I Still Writing A Diary | 4 Benefits Writing Diary

I am twenty two and I have a diary (with a little padlock) to write almost every night before bed. The diary I am using right now is a gift from my ex-roomie, and she wrote a letter to me said, "I know you love to write diary every night, so here a new one to write after you return home." Sweet I know, and the diary is sweetest than ever. Probably the most sweetest diary I had ever.

The question is:
Why I still writing a diary?

Of course I have so many answers I would give to you. Maybe right after you read this, you can start writing your own diary too (:

The benefit of writing diary:

1. You are gonna have a healthy mind and soul.
I get used to write in blog to share my thoughts, my ideas, my stories, etc. Blogging means I share almost my personal things digitally. I realized I still need a secured place to place my emotion, which I cannot put them in my digital diary.

I write EVERYTHING in my own diary. My diary is my best friend. Okay, not like I am a weirdo or a freak or something, but somehow I think my diary is the best secret keeper (LOL). A study from New Zealand researchers, writing down your feelings and thoughts can heal faster. Also they said that expressing emotions through words may speed healing. That's why I really really like to encourage all of my friends (read: you), start to write a diary/journal. You may hates writing this activity, but one of best-healthy-way to express your emotion is by writing. Instead of you waste your money for something maybe you won't need it, try to write.

And oh, of course, write by your hand. Not type on the laptop or computer. (:

2. You are doing your inner monologue
Thoughts come from your own mind. Feelings come from your heart. It is just like speaking through yourself, that's inner monologue. This also means you have a private room to have an introspection. Things are going wrong or right, it depends on yourself. Something you love, something you hate, it also depends on yourself. Talk to yourself often might help you to become a better person. Yeah, that's it.

3. When you a writing diary, you are praying to God.
I never realized this before right after my best friend, Jess, told me so. Praying isn't about close your eyes, but it can be happened everywhere. You pray by your heart, not how you do it. I was so excited when I knew about this. Jess told me when she writes, she is talking with God. And surprisingly, she knows the answers from God, immediately. One of famous Youtube celebrity, Lindy Bubz does this too!

4. Writing, interestingly, helps you to exercise more.
The New York Times reported, people who kept a gratitude journal that they wrote once a week for two months were more optimistic about life (and, interestingly, exercised more). This is pretty funny and also a fun fact! So, maybe you consider to start writing your gratitude journal? I believe so many people are doing this everyday. My other best friend started a project to write her gratitude in 365 days this year. Sounds interesting and I should to start this too. Even after the project ends, you can keep writing it.

Writing diary is not childish. When I have a kid in the future, I should teach him/her to start writing a diary. When they grow up, the diary owns everything: all of memories, all of secrets, all of stories, all of prayers.

Just in case you want to know how my current diary looks like:

 The cover

The most favorite thing I love about this diary. I am in my 45th episode already. Sometimes I used 2-3 pages for one episode LOL

Don't mind my writings haha

Happy writing!

Wanderrgirl Blog Challenge #2: I Downloaded LINE sticker for Philippines

One day, I watched Haiyan Typhoon news that showing us that a young woman cried so hard because she lost everything and the thing makes my heart breaks, she couldn't do anything during the typhoon and after she survived, she just realized, she lost her son.

When the first time I knew about this typhoon, I was like not even care. But that was a short scene woke me up to do something for all Haiyan victims.

To be honest, I am not into a volunteering activity, but it doesn't mean I don't even care about what happens around me or in this world. Around seven years ago, the day after Christmas, tsunami attacked Aceh and that was a really bad dream for our country. But we thank to God, He let people around the world helped and prayed for us. Now, turn to me, I took a little chance to help Philippines.

I decided to donate by downloading this LINE sticker set "Pray for Philippines".

(special LINE character stickers to cheer up the typhoon victims. Proceeds will be donated to help rebuild the affected areas)

Maybe I can't do much on the spot for helping who needs there, this is just a little thing I can do for dear Filipino friends. And of course my prayer always be with you all. Stay strong and please believe that there still a hope and a rainbow will come after the storm. Don't be afraid, don't lose faith, my friend.

PS: Indonesian Red Cross (Palang Merah) also makes a donation for Philippines. Please follow their twitter @palangmerah for more information. People around the world make a move for Filipino friends!

Come Back (New) Home - My very first short story goes public!

Red eyes, swollen face.. but the thing we know we are gonna meet again!

It has been four months I left Guangzhou and graduated. I wrote a little story, dedicated to keep a good time when I was ready to fly back home and some good friends came together. I hate and always hate to say goodbye, but as I've learned before, saying goodbye means we all know, someday, we are gonna meet each other again. So yeah, still lots of tears (lol) but lots of smile too.

This is gonna be my first time sharing my personal non fiction story online. I wrote this based on my true story, people: how I cried like a baby in the plane after said goodbye to my beloved place, which I called second home for four years *I need a drama that time hahaha*; how I left my passport in the toilet (yes, I left it and found it only for few seconds! Thanks to a beautiful yound lady who found it and gave it back to me with a sarcastic smile); and at last how I finally arrived in a new place where I spell it as h-o-m-e. I wrote the story in Bahasa, so I give you a little bit spoiler about the story ehehehe. I kinda miss that time when I can spend hours in the airport, where I can connect myself with the outsiders.. seriously I just miss that time.

Well yeah that's it. A quick post for today. I have bunch things to do for entire weeks, so wish me luck! Have a good night people (it's 8:30 PM right now here, oh 8:31 PM already). See you in the next post, stay awesome!

Click here just in case if you want to read my professional diary, packed in a short-beautiful-a little bit drama-short story. Please don't take this out without my permission, okay? I trust you, sweetie (:
